Michael is the President and principal consultant of Interactive Technologies International, a Toronto, Canada-based, globally focused "objective" consulting consortia specializing in the converging knowledge management, imaging, electronic document management, enterprise content management, workflow analysis, eBusiness, customer relationship management, business intelligence, records management, consent, privacy, authentication, confidentiality, Web content management and other emerging encryption technologies. VP Business Development and Member of the Board (Contract)

  • Developed business plans for market entry North America and Europe.

  • Responsible for creating awareness, recognition and capturing marketshare in the security, user authentication, consent and privacy protection global marketplace. Development of direct opportunities, distribution and partner channels and providing market requirements to Cyberun Corp. development team.

  • Responsible for Cyberun and Thompson European distributor global sales and market strategies and revenue generation.

SAPERION Inc.- Boston and Toronto (September 2000 to October 2001) CEO (1 yr contract)

  • Responsible for providing interim leadership and creating awareness, branding and capturing marketshare in the North American EDMS, knowledge management and eBusiness marketplace for European EDMS software developer. Established NA office in Boston.

  • Developed direct opportunities, distribution and partner channels and provided market requirements to Saperion AG development team.

  • Responsible for Saperion Inc. operations, P & L, sales and market strategies for all of North and South America for Saperion AG of Berlin, Germany.

  • Transitioned North American operations to German management team at end of contract.

  • Provided Canadian marketplace education and awareness of image processing technology, strategic planning, market and vendor information, vendor relationships management and product offerings, needs assessment, business case development, work process analysis and redesign, cost & benefit specification design and implementation.

Digital Equipment of Canada -Toronto, (1989-1990) - National Marketing Manager

  • Canadian marketing manager of imaging and document technologies. Created a national awareness for imaging and document technologies. Developed long range strategic emerging technology marketing plans and marketing materials.

  • Responsible for image product introductions, external and internal market education seminars, requirements studies and competitive updates. Conducted sales and training programs for executive relationship, consultative and solutions selling skills.

  • Corporate worldwide consulting resource, conducted consulting international activities for needs assessment, information and workflow analysis and application of technology workshops for image processing implementations. Direct interface to the international marketplace, defined new product direction, business development and marketing strategies. Defined and focused engineering and marketing activities by analyzing international marketplace for product design requirements, direction, and performance specifications. Project manager for a U.S. State Motor Vehicle Bureau $6 million sale.

Philips Data Systems-Barcelona, Spain (1982-1986) - Country Manager

  • Managed sales and marketing activities for office automation, word processing and image processing product offerings, supporting a national sales organization and network of Philips distributors(50). New product marketing, sales, logistics, program development, pricing strategies and policies into new market environments. Achieved marketshare gain of 25%, participated in the launch of the first optical disk system, sold first image systems to a Spanish police and land registry office.
